Gimnazjum nr 30 im. Felicjana Sypniewskiego w Poznaniu – Lower-secondary school No 30 named after Felicjan Sypniewski in Poznan, Poland

We are a state school with sports classes (handball – girls and volleyball – boys). Our players have won a great number of medals. We have also received the Greater Poland Governor Cup for the most sporty school in the region.

In 2006/2007 our school  established  a class specializing in aviation on a lower-secondary school level which was the first class of the kind in Poland. Since then our students have been participating in a subject called Introduction to Aviation composed of mechanics and technology of flight, navigation, meteorology and the history of aviation. The learners of “aviation classes” during their three-year-course of learning  take part in three aviation camps where they get familiar with civil and military airports, participate in flights in different kinds of planes and have the opportunity to improve their physical fitness. During the school year our students may attend extracurricular activities, like aeromodelling.  

The school  provides a high level of teaching foreign languages: English, German and Russian (the last one is offered as an extracurricular lesson). When teaching languages we put emphasis on developing four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing. Lessons are conducted by well qualified and  experienced teachers in small groups, in a nice and stress-free atmosphere.

We may praise an excellent psychological and pedagogical care provided by our school where one can take part in numerous talks and workshops. We promote tolerance and assertiveness.
